Dispersed rains and hail are expected in certain parts of Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa (KP) in the coming 24 hours while a partially cloudy meteorological system travels to the region, the meteorological department of Pakistan (PMD) said on Thursday.
The forecasts indicate thunderstorms accompanied by burst winds in areas such as Chitral, Dir, Swat, Shangla and Malakand, reported Express News.
Hailled storms are also possible in isolated places.
The rain is also probably in Manshra, Torghar, Kohistan, Battagram and Abbottabad, as well as some parts of Khyber, Orakzai, Mohmand, Swabi, Mardan, Nowshera, Charsadda and Peshawar.
The southern regions, including Dera Ismail Khan, Tank, Lakki Marwat, Karak and North and South Waziristan, can also feel thunder and rain.
On Wednesday, Peshawar saw light rain, while Dir recorded the highest precipitation at 15 mm. Other notable figures included 11 mm in Malam Jabba, 10 mm in Pattan (Kohistan), 9 mm in Kalam, 4 mm in Saidu Sharif (Swat) and 1 mm in chitral.
Temperatures remained moderate in the province. Peshawar recorded a summit of 21 ° C, while Chitral was at 12 ° C. Dir Bala saw 9 ° C, Kalam 7 ° C and Malam Jabba 8 ° C. In the South, Dera Ismail Khan recorded 23 ° C and banned 22 ° C.
The meteorological authorities have advised residents and travelers to remain cautious due to the potential for sudden weather changes and localized storms.
