Texas A&M head coach Mike Elko expressed his disdain for a comment made by one of his players on Wednesday.
The defensive line DJ Hicks was invited to what the motto of the defensive room says.
Hicks said it was “CBO” and when asked what it represents, “simple terms,” Choke Woman Out “. Let’s just say that,” said Hicks, via the Eagle.

“This mentality, it simply means to be aggressive. Each time we go out on the ground, we try to pass our hands through someone’s face. We never want to be passive, each time, we will assert domination when we come to the field.”
Hicks tried to clean the “B” part of the motto, but she turned around. Elko quickly discussed Hicks’ comments.
“He transmits something that should not be transmitted, so we will manage and speak,” said Elko, via the Eagle on Wednesday. “It is absolutely ridiculous who was declared.”

Last season was the first of Elko as a chief coach with the AGGIES, and he led the team to an 8-5 file.
While last season was his first as a chief coach with Texas A&M, Elko was previously the team’s defensive coordinator before his departure and took the job as a head coach to Duke before the 2022-2023 season.

Elko returned to Texas A&M when the head coach is only two seasons after departure for Duke after the Aggies dismissed Jimbo Fisher.
Elko will rely on Hicks and the rest of his defensive line next season to intensify because they will have larger roles with Nic Scourton, Shemar Stewart and Shemar Turner went to the NFL.
