Remember when cryptopunks were the last Flex?
The 10,000 avatars issued by Larva Labs in 2017 were among the jewels of the crown of non -fascinated token (NFT) in 2021. Some NFT of this collection reached up to 56 million dollars of ether (ETH) on the free market in 2024.
The first five most expensive NFTs belong to the collection of cryptopunk, the data from NFT Analytics Service Cryptoslam shows. But the holders seem to be moving their money.
The portfolio behind cryptopunks # 3100, the third highest sales NFT of all time, sold its collection earlier Friday for 4,000 ETH – a haircut of 500 ETH worth more than $ 10 million in dollars while ETH itself plunged almost 60% in the past year.
It is always a relatively high price for cryptopunk compared to the floor price of the collection – or the minimum demand rate – of 42 ETH, or about $ 65,000, per Coingecko. The value of # 3100 was motivated by its rarity of being an “extraterrestrial” (9 of 9985 punks) and to wear a banner (406 of the 9742 punks).
NFT trading volumes have been a general drop since 2021, bars a few points during frantic periods. Global sales fell to just over $ 58 million on April 7, reaching levels previously observed at the beginning of 2021.
