- During a meeting in December 2024, China took responsibility for cyber-offensives
- These include attacks on American infrastructure, such as communications and energy
- The state warned that we increase Taiwan’s support was a key factor
In the midst of a serious escalation of hostilities between the two nations, senior Chinese officials apparently recognized in camera that Beijing was involved in a series of cyber attacks on American critical infrastructure.
These attacks have seen pirates of Chinese volte typhoon infiltrating American critical infrastructure systems for years, in particular compromise the energy, communications, transport and water industries.
China had previously denied any involvement in these attacks, but the Wall Street Journal Now reports that Beijing officials have admitted an involvement in an “indirect and somewhat ambiguous way”, interpreted by US officials as a “warning in the United States on Taiwan”.
Degeneration of tensions
The news of the increase in reciprocal prices between the two nations are quite inevitable, but the trade war is not the only step for the offensives, the US officials planned to continue cyber frappes against China and security experts warning that China is ready to rebroadcast prices with a “typhoon attack” – referring to hazarding groups of salt and
This news comes after the Trump administration has implemented mass federal dismissals, which a former director of cybersecurity at NSA warned will have a “devastating impact on cybersecurity”.
These admissions are, of course, probably a tactical decision of China to underline its own capacities and will to use them.
For example, the attack on the typhoon of salt in telecommunications networks is considered to be a “historical failure of counter-espionage”, and some officials even think that the group is still hiding on American networks.
Previously, the US State Department had opposed Taiwanese independence, but under Trump, it seems to be much more uncertain, and the climbing of tensions between China and the United States could lead to cyber-offensive on both sides.
Taiwan has a strong economy and, above all, shelters semiconductor manufacturers – computer fleas which are essential for almost all modern technologies and are used in satellite systems, phones, laptops and AI.
