Shehbaz urges Kabul to brake terrorism

Islamabad:

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif said on Sunday that Pakistan had repeatedly urged the Acting Afghan government to immediately curb terrorist organizations operating from its soil, but these groups continue to launch attacks in Pakistan.

Accompanied by the elder brother Nawaz Sharif, Shehbaz arrived in London after a two -day “successful” visit to Bélarus, said the Prime Minister’s office. Shehbaz was to go back to the country on Sunday evening, while Nawaz planned to stay in the British capital for more than two weeks.

Speaking to journalists, Shehbaz said that militant outfits such as Tehreek-E-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) and the Islamic-Khorasan State (IS-K) were still active in Afghanistan and attacks on the lives of innocent Pakistanis.

“We have transmitted several times to the Afghan temporary government that, under the Doha agreement, they should not allow the use of Afghan soil for terrorism,” he said. “These terrorists have martyred our people, and that must stop.”

He said the sacrifices of the Pakistani people, the armed forces, the police and other law enforcement organizations would not go to no avail. “Afghanistan is our neighboring brotherly country. We must coexist peacefully, as good neighbors – not opponents,” added Shehbaz.

Last month, Pakistan decided to give diplomacy and dialogue an opportunity to resolve questions, including the presence of terrorist sanctuaries in Afghanistan with the acting Taliban government.

In March, Pakistan’s special representative on Afghanistan, ambassador Muhammad Sadiq, visited Kabul and met the Afghan authorities to discuss bilateral cooperation later the Sadiq ambassador gave his recommendations on how to continue relations with Afghanistan. He provided a positive assessment of his trip to Kabul at a meeting with the Minister of Foreign Affairs.

The relations of Pakistan and Afghanistan have remained tense for months mainly about the presence of Tehreek-E-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) in the neighboring country.

Islamabad has linked the point of terrorist attacks to Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and the Balutchistan provinces with terrorist sanctuaries in Afghanistan.

Visit of the Belarus

During his trip to the Belarus, the Prime Minister visited a mining machinery for factory manufacturing, noting the unexploited mineral wealth of Pakistan. He announced his intention to improve cooperation in this sector and to send 150,000 Pakistani workers qualified in Bélarus “to merit”.

Development objectives

By approaching his development program, Shehbaz said that his famous “Punjab Speed” had evolved at “Super Pakistani speed”. He swore to direct Pakistan to prosperity through hard work and unity.

“Our goal is a prosperous Pakistan and in advance,” said the Prime Minister.
