Nadal Ahmed, the 19 -year -old Pakistani teenager at the center of a viral “love story” with the American citizen Onijah Andrews, finally broke his silence.
Nadal confirmed the couple’s relationship, revealing that they have been together for more than two years and that they are still in contact despite the media frenzy that surrounded their history.
Onijah, who drew global attention after having traveled to Karachi in October 2024 to marry Nadal, refused to leave Pakistan even after the expiration of his visa, making the headlines for his dramatic public statements and his press conferences.
She said that her relationship with Nadal had collapsed after her family rejected her, and her request for hundreds of thousands of dollars in cash sparked additional controversy.
However, Nadal denied the assertions that he had abandoned Onijah, insisting that their relationship was strong and still in progress. “We are still in contact, and I heard people say that I left it or deceived, but it is simply not true,” he said. He also denied rumors that they were married, declaring that he did not know why Onijah was referring to her husband.
In the interview, Ahmed confirmed that he had met Robinson when he worked in a call center in Pakistan, where he called in the United States.
Nadal revealed Onijah had stayed in Pakistan for almost three months, during which she developed a close link with her family, even by shopping with her mother and sisters.
“It was Onijah’s personal decision to come here and meet me,” said Nadal, adding that he hadn’t in a hurry to stay beyond his visa.
The attention of the media, however, became uncontrollable after Onijah remained in Pakistan after his return scheduled for the United States.
The press quickly hung on to the reports that the wedding plans had failed, some alleging onijah had been unleashed after his appearance different from his online photos.
Nadal, however, rejected these relationships, claiming that there was no truth to the idea that he had abandoned it.
“I cannot answer if we will be together forever, only God knows,” said Nadal when he was asked for the future of their relationship. Despite the ups and downs, he stressed that their relationship was like any other, filled with love and efforts. “We love each other. Each relationship has its ups and downs, but we are working on projects, and you will soon see us together,” he added.
After returning to the United States, Onijah retained its popularity, making appearances on various digital platforms.
Meanwhile, Nadal remains provocative, in the hope of resting rumors. “The media only invent stories. If you can show me a video where Onijah says that I left it or that I betrayed it, I will agree with that, but until then, they are only hypotheses.”
As for their future, Nadal mentioned that he admired the confidence of Onijah, calling him something that deserves to be learned. He confirmed that they were working on new projects and that they will be seen together in the future.
Recently, on the BBC Asian Network, Onijah shared details on his link with Shabana, a Karachi police officer, with whom the American National would have developed a solid relationship.
“She is very good. She is very funny. She is always on her phone. We have similar personalities … because in the morning, we would be a little agitated. We were still doing something, but we came to the time when we were going,” said Onijah smiling.
She also previously gave an interview to the local media, where she discussed her American trips to Pakistan and then in Dubai.
Onijah clarified the news of his arrest in Dubai, declaring that she had not been arrested but had faced a situation which caused a delay in his return.
“I did not go to prison, I was just stuck in Dubai. It was a situation that I could not understand at the time,” said the American woman.
