Justin Rose came out of almost nowhere to finish the finalist of Rory McILroy at Masters on Sunday.
Rose pulled a last round 66 to force a playoff series against McILroy. He lost against Mcilroy after missing a 15 -foot putt. He got out of the strong door with a 65 in the first round, but it was 75 in the third round which forced him to climb up on the last round.

It was the third time that Rose ended in second position or in an equal place in the Masters. It was the second second consecutive place in the general classification because he was a finalist in the championship opened last year.
“The last two majors I played, I finished in second place, and it’s more proof that I do a very good job,” he said via the BBC. “At Royal Troon and again here at the Masters, when he arrives at the real business, I feel like I was really calm and ready for that, which I am proud of, but it hurts.”
In 2017, Rose lost against Sergio Garcia in the playoffs. He forced this year’s qualifying series with a 20 -foot birdie on the 18th hole.

Rory McILroy gives sincere advice to his daughter, Poppy, after the Masters’ victory: “Never abandon your dreams”
He joined Ben Hogan as the only players to lose twice in the playoffs in Augusta National. Hogan won the Masters twice.
“This is the kind of putt you dream when I was a child, and to have him and the hole, it was a special feeling,” said Rose. “And unfortunately, the playoffs, they always end so quickly. If you are not the guy to hit the big blow or the hole the big putt, it’s over. But not really all that I could have done more today.”
