After months of speculation, HBO officially announced the first members of the distribution for Max’s Harry Potter TV series, and although some faces have been supposed to have been rumors for some time, there are certainly surprises.
Located on max and air on the flagship network of Warner HBO, the new series aims to reinvent the Harry Potter Saga for a whole new generation. “Exploring every corners of the world of wizards, each season will bring Harry Potter And his incredible adventures for a new and existing audience, ”explains HBO of the new show, while promising a faithful adaptation of the global Smash-Hit book series.
While some pleaded against the need for a new adaptation of books, it is just to say that the growing length of these last novels meant that there were a lot about original films.
While these films continue to be transmitted in the generations – attractions such as the world of universal wizards and the WB studio tour of London continue to thrive – a long -form adaptation certainly enabled the story to develop, to bring sub -intments and excised material which contributes greatly to build the rich world and the characters presented in books.
Who are the new members of the distribution?
One of the things that make existing fans the most nervous is that new actors enter the place of the characters so iconically animated, but to judge by the first casting announcement, there is nothing to fear, with six key roles that seek to be in very safe hands.
Among those announced in the latest press release, three were already still official. John Lightgow, playing as Hogwarts Albus Dumbledore establishment head was disclosed a few months ago, but confirmed today as part of the announcement.
As it was London gang‘S Paapa Essiedu, playing the teacher of complex potions Severus Snape, and Cornetto trilogy Star Nick Frost is the adorable watchman Rubeus Hagrid.
More surprising were three other announcements, the most intriguing of which is Janet McTeer (currently with Paramount + Hit Mobland) As professor Minerva McGonagall, an emblematic role made by the late Dame Maggie Smith. If the newcomer, the newcomer, Luke Thallon, was also Professor Quirinus Quirell and the legend of the Comedy Paul Whitehouse as a caricature guard Argus Filch.
However, to be announced, the young actors who will represent the central trio of Harry, Ron and Hermione, but with 30,000 submissions to pass following a casting call opened last year, it could be some time until HBO finds their new stars.
