- Google Workspace unveils new AI tools
- Google Docs gets new audio previews, “help me refine” the tools
- Google Sheets and also meet new upgrades
Wearing your Google Workspace files to the next level should soon be easier than ever thanks to a multitude of new updates.
The company has revealed a number of office software upgrades fueled by AI during its Google Cloud 25 event designed to give users an increase in productivity and creativity when they need it most.
Among the new launches are new audio tools in Google Docs which can create listening versions of your document, as well as improved analysis tools for Google Sheets in order to make the most of your data.
Help me … with everything
Google Workspace indicates that its new audio tools for DOC will allow users to identify any problem in the wording or the flow of their work, giving a whole new perspective on the document.
Described as “a whole new way of interacting with your content”, users will be able to generate a complete audio version of a podcast document or format which sees two different voices by covering the key points.
Docs also gets a “help me to refine” tool, which will offer users useful advice and suggestions on how to spice up your content. This could include means to strengthen an argument, improve the structure of a part or make the key points lighter, as well as ensure that formatting is coherent throughout.
“The objective is not only to repair the document, but to help you become a more effective communicator over time,” says Google Workspace.

Elsewhere, Google Sheets will soon see a new tool “Help me to analyze” to help users travel large amounts of data whenever they need them.
The company claims that the tool will offer advice to allow you to start on a new spreadsheet, as well as highlight the interesting trends, suggest the next steps and create clear interactive graphics to give your data to life.
Finally, for anyone who needs additional help to make up (or listen) to a Google Meet videoconference call, Gemini in Meet will now help users to be aware of everything they could have missed. Its improved gemini features will also try to give additional clarity on certain points, as well as to offer summary and suggestions on how to better face your point.
“While AI reshapes our world, we focus on creating really useful and accessible powerful technologies, and bringing them to the flow of your daily work,” noted Yulie Kwon Kim, VP, Product – Workspace.
“It is an AI built for the reality of work today, not a fantasy of the future. Our announcements represent the next step to provide useful AI tools for everyone’s work.”
