- After launching iPhone cases in 2024, Beats now inaugurates cables
- It is a new expansion in mobile accessories by focusing on affordability and fun colors
- Beats makes three types of cables in two sizes and four colors
Beats has already had a 2025 packaged with the highly anticipated release of the PowerBeats Pro 2, but for the second act of the technological brand, it is taking a slightly different tone. No, this is not a follow-up of the return of the emblematic pill speaker or a new shade of solo buds; Instead, it is a new mobile accessory that could not be more excited.
In addition to the iPhone 16 range in September 2024, Beats presented its iPhone case – an elegant and ergonomic plastic which had a microfiber lining to protect the equipment, the management of Magsafe, and perhaps above all, a layer of sapphire for the control of the camera.
And now Beats makes cables. No, not for audio but for charging devices and even making data transfers. Better still, like solo buds, they are agnostic platforms and seek to use the same high-end braided materials of the fun shades made with apples, but with fresh, vibrant and simple shades.
Beats Cables will be available in three models for this launch: USB-C to USB-C, USB-A to USB-C and USB-C in Lightning. You can choose between a size of 20 cm shorter or a 1.5 m longer, and Beats offers four colors: Bolt Black, Surge Stone, Nitro Navy and Rapid Red.
The best part, however, could be the price. In one or the other size for a single cable, it is $ 18.99 / £ 18.99 / $ 28.95 at, or Beats sells two cable packs of 1.5 million for $ 34.99 / £ 34.99 £ / $ 54.95 This price simply includes the cable, or two, the beats being quick to note that no power adapter is included. In the new advertising spot and in shared images, the cables beat are displayed on Apple bricks of 20 Watt, so for the moment, Beats is not on the electricity market.
However, I would not be shocked to see this mobile accessory division of Beats again develop. We first have cases, now cables and that would not bother me the return of a Magsafe battery in fun colors.
Regarding specifications, cables beat to connect and play with apparatus made by Apple and Android devices. The USB-C to USB-C cable is designed to load up to 60 watts, provided that the power source and the device are connected to the support. These cables also support USB 2.0 data transfer speeds. You can use them for synchronization, load and carplay with an iPhone, or even for Android Auto with an Android device.
USB-A at USB-C works with Apple and not Apple devices, but the specification is a little lower to invoice up to 15 watts. Data transfer speeds are the same up to USB 2.0. You can also use the USB-A cables to USB-C or USB-C to USB-C to power other beat devices such as the pill or to recharge the headphones.
USB -C beats to Lightning cables support fast load with certain Apple devices – think of the iPhone, iPad or even AirPods. You can also synchronize them with data or use it for Carplay.
All these elements boast of a braided and colored design with extremities and color beats, indicates that they are reinforced to avoid fraying and go through thousands of hours of testing to ensure sustainability. Although it is not specified if recycled materials are used in the cable itself, the packaging is made from 100%plant-based materials.
Techradar will put these cables through certain tests in a short time, and if it is something like Beats cases for the iPhone 16 range, I have the feeling that it will be a success. Especially for those who have already wanted Apple USB -C cables to be a little more affordable or came in fun colors – this is the solution.
Beats will start to sell its USB-C, USB-A at USB-C and USB-C at cable lighting in Bolt Black, Surge Stone, Nitro Navy and Rapid Red in 1.5 m or 20 cm of Apple-and probably on Amazon-right now, and will arrive in Apple stores on April 17, 2025.
