Islamabad:
On Wednesday, the chief minister of Balutchistan, Mir Sarfaraz Bugti, expressed his gratitude to the federal government to allocate funds to the dualization of a main road in Baloutchistan and to the Kachhi Canal project.
He was addressed to a press conference in Islamabad alongside the federal ministers Jam Kamal and Khalid Magsi.
The chief minister said that this financial support is a gesture of good will for the people of Balutchistan, because the money comes from the national chessboard and belongs to each Pakistanis.
He noted that the dualization of the N-25 motorway, connecting Shaman, Quetta, Kalat, Khuzdar and Karachi, will considerably improve transport and provide a safe and standard road installation to the public.
Stressing the importance of the Kachhi Canal project, he said that his completion will mark the start of an agricultural revolution in the province by ensuring irrigation for large agricultural land areas.
The Minister of Commerce, Jam Kamal Khan welcomed the Prime Minister’s decision, declaring that such initiatives offer a new vision to young people in Balutchistan, allowing them to contribute to the progress and prosperity of the nation.
The Minister of Sciences and Technology, Khalid Hussain Many, also expressed his confidence in the quality of the projects implemented.
He thanked the Prime Minister for announcing an additional 10% quota for Baloch students in the agricultural graduate program in China.
Answering a question, the chief minister Bugti said that improving the security situation in Balutchistan remains absolute priority.
