Is claimed the Martyring explosion bomb three cops

Islamabad:

The Islamic State group claimed an explosion of bombs targeting the police in southwest Pakistan who martyred three police officers and injured more than a dozen.

A bomb planted on a motorcycle stationed on Tuesday targeted a bus that was passing with 40 police officers in Mastung, Balutchistan, where security forces have been fighting against violence for decades.

In a statement on Tuesday evening, the group’s regional branch, the Islamic State Khorasan (IS-K), which often puts attacks on security forces in Pakistan and Afghanistan, said its “soldiers” targeted the police.

Pakistan has witnessed a strong increase in violence in its regions bordering Afghanistan since the Taliban returned to power in Kabul in 2021.

The chief minister of Balutchistan, Mir Sarfaraz Bugti, firmly condemned the bombing and expressed his deep sorrow about the loss of precious lives.
