Eufy’s new intelligent lock reads your palm veins for contactless entrance – even if your hands are dirty

  • EUFY FAMILOCK S3 Max has a contactless entry via the recognition of the palm
  • It is coupled with a video doorbell with 2 km images and IA intruder detection
  • The images can be stored either locally or in the cloud with a subscription

EUFY – The company behind some of the best video bells that we have tested here in Techradar – has published a new intelligent lock with palm recognition for contactless entry. The EUFY FAMILOCK S3 Max, which launched today, also has an external camera which offers a 2K wide angle video, as well as an integrated AI to alert you when a visitor approaches your door – welcome or not.

EUFY was one of the first companies to launch an intelligent lock with the recognition of PALM (the other big name being Philips with its Smart Lock of Palm Video Recognition of Palm), and it has several advantages compared to fingerprint scanners, which are a more common option for key entry.
