If you are a fan of Star Wars and have not yet been jealous of not being at Star Wars Celebration 2025 in Japan, prepare to be. The same is true if you have an Apple Vision Pro instead of a meta quest.
For what? Well, Industrial Light & Magic and Lucasfilm finally share more on their next mixed and virtual star Wars reality experience which should arrive on the Meta Quest 3 and Meta Quest 3s helmets at some point in the future, and the boy Oh Boy does that is surprising.
Star Wars: Beyond Victory – A set of mixed reality games takes place during the events of Solo: a story of Star Wars And has three game modes: Adventure, Arcade and Playset. You can see the full trailer below, as well as some selected screenshots. It is a complete immersion experience that can place you in the Star Wars universe or superposition elements in your own space.
Adventure is more a classic and immersive experience, similar to other titles like Star Wars: Tales from the Galaxy’s Edge – a personal favorite that I played on the PSVR, because I am a fan of Disney Parks – and Vader Immortal: A Star Wars VR Series. Here, you will follow the story of an aspiring Podracer, Volo, who goes on a trip graded to a mentoring with Sebulba.
This could be the most neat, however – Arcade places a holotable in your space through mixed or augmented reality, and you can apparently get closer to the action of Star Wars, including a podracing course.
And if you are at Star Wars Celebration 2025 in Japan, you can play a demo that combines the modes of adventure and arcade at the stand # 20-5 in the Hall 4 of Makuhari Mass Convention Center. Instant jealousy on my part!
Alyssa Finley, the executive producer of the title, shared: “We call it a game of play because it is not only a game; It’s a whole new way to discover the Star Wars galaxy and the worlds we create at Ilm. ”
This new mixed reality experience mixes physical and digital worlds in a way that doesn’t look like everything we have done before
She continued: “This new mixed reality experience mixes physical and digital worlds in a way that looks like nothing we have done before”, which certainly increases the excitement and the beateering for the title. It is almost similar to another project on which Industrial Light & Magic worked for the Apple Vision Pro – is it so …? – An immersive story, and she had moments when he completely placed you elsewhere or bunk battles in your own space.
Add to this is the PlayySet mode, which promises to let you have your own “Star Wars” moments in mixed reality, allowing you to see and interact with vehicles in the universe and figurines.
While Star Wars: Beyond Victory – A set of mixed reality games is still in development, it is undoubtedly one of the most ambitious titles in Industrial Light & Magic and Lucasfilm. Whenever it is ready for prime time, it will be launched for the meta quest 3 and 3, we will therefore wait for other news on a release date.
If you have a professional vision, we may be petitioning Apple, ILM and Lucasfilm to also bring it to the space computer of $ 3,500. And if you’re at home, see all the new Star Wars sets that Lego has announced here.
