CM asks aid to prepare a wellness program for artists

Lahore:

The chief minister of Punjab, Maryam Nawaz Sharif, ordered the preparation of a wellness program for artists in the province.

Addressing the ceremony of the Punjab Culture Day at the Alhamra Council of Arts, she said: “I want to do something special for the well-being of Punjab artists in order to give an example.”

She asked the provincial minister senior Marriyum Aurangzeb and the Minister of Information Azma Zahid Bokhari to extinguish a wellness program of artists. The chief minister said: “Everyone should be proud to speak and be called Punjabi. I have immense love for the soil, people, music, traditions and culture of Punjab.”

She added: “I love Pakistan because I am a patriotic Pakistani. During my exile, I was crying by remembering the scent of the punjab soil in the rain. Young people must learn English, but they should speak the Punjabi language with pride. Punjab and Punjabi are our identity, we cannot forget it.”

She said: “After many decades, a series of fairs took over in Punjab. The spectacle of horse and cattle resumed after 30 years and people appreciated it for two weeks. Mela Chiraghan was relaunched after many years.”
