A meeting of the School Board in California presented an emotional debate on transgender athletes authorized to share the locker room with secondary girls. A girl who cried during a speech was invited to “conclude” by the chairman of the board of directors.
At the meeting of the Lucia Mar Unified District Board of Directors (LMUSD) on Wednesday, an athlete of the Lycée Junior female at Arroyo Grande Highol named Celeste Diest took the podium to tell his experience of having to change in front of an athlete transprised biologically male before training, while this athlete allegedly looked at undress.
“I entered the locker rooms of women to change for the practice of the track where I saw, at the end of my row, a biological man who looks not only myself, but the other young women undress. This experience was beyond traumatization,” said Diest, while she was starting to choke and cry.

“Adults as you do with me and my peers have the impression that our own comfort was invalid, even if our intimacy was and is always completely raped.”
Diest then fought his tears to assert that the Xy chromosomes of the trans athlete define the person as a man, adding: “It is basic biology”.
But Diest was then interrupted by the president of the LMUSD board of directors, Colleen Martin.
“Okay, please conclude,” said Martin, making a gesture towards the most to finish his point.
The teenager then sniffed and continued to speak.
“I just want to ask” and us? “We cannot sit down and allow our rights to be abandoned to respond to an individual who is a man, who watches women undress and undress who has been carried out for us.
Diest then moved away from the podium to rugging applause from the public before Martin tried to silence the cheers.

Martin even started to slam his hammer to try to temper increasing applause, but the cheers have only become strong than after that.
“No!” Cried Martin when the cheers became stronger.
Then, Martin sat down there silently when the applause continued for several seconds, before he finished in the end, and the following speaker delivered another speech opposed to the inclusion trans.
Before Diest’s speech, one of the other speakers, a woman named Shannon Kessler, who was to go after the teenager, asked Martin if she could give him time to Diest. But Martin denied this request.
“We don’t do that,” said Martin.
Several other parents have given opposition speeches of the trans present athletes, while other members of the community have spoken to support the inclusion trans.
California has been one of the many Nation’s blue states to challenge President Donald Trump’s executive decree “men out of women’s sport” and has enabled Trans to compete with girls for more than a decade.
A law called AB 1266 has been in force since 2014 and has given Californian students at school levels and collegial levels the right to “participate in programs and school activities separated by sex, including teams and sports competitions, and to use installations consistent with its gender identity, regardless of the genre listed on student files”.
The Californian regulation code article 4910 (k) defines sex as: “the real sex of a person or the sex perceived and includes the identity, appearance or the perceived behavior of a person, that this identity, this appearance or a behavior of a person is traditionally associated with the sex of a person at birth.”
Filé CIF 300.D. Reflects the Education Code, declaring: “All students should have the opportunity to participate in CIF activities in accordance with their gender identity, regardless of the genus listed on a student’s files.”
These laws and the subsequent authorization of athletes Trans to compete with girls and women of the State led to multiple controversies on the issue in the last year only.
The California Interscholastic Federation (CIF) said it would continue to follow the law of the state which allows athletes to participate as the sex they identify, a spokesman for PK Press Club Digital said.
“The CIF offers students the possibility of belonging, connecting and competing in experience -based experiences in accordance with the law of California [Education Code section 221.5. (f)] This allows students to participate in school programs and activities, including sports teams and competitions, in accordance with the student’s identity of the student, whatever the genre listed on student files, “said a CIF press release.
The Democratic majority of the California State legislature rejected two bills that would have changed the law of the State to ban the trans sports athletes on April 1.
