Karachi:
The members of the Sindh Assembly belonging to the MQM-P strongly criticized the KMC proposal to increase municipal accusations, calling it an additional burden for the citizens of Karachi and the obstinacy by the USURPERPED representatives.
Right members of the Provincial Assembly said that Karachi pays more than 95% of the provincial total and more than 70% of federal taxes of harshly earned money from its citizens, and imposing them additional tax charges will make their lives even more difficult.
KMC failed to provide basic municipal facilities to its citizens. Under the mayor of the PPP, the city was reduced to a state of dilapidation.
The income generated by KMC does not reach people directly but are consumed by the “system”.
Given these disastrous circumstances, they demanded a third -party audit of the KMC rather than increasing municipal taxes. This would allow Karachi citizens to know where their money is spent.
