During the visit, Dar should meet with the acting Afghan Prime Minister Mullah Mohammad Hassan Akhund, and other key officials.

The talks will include a meeting with the Afghan Foreign Minister Amir Khan Muttaqi, with official negotiations which take place at the level of the delegation.

“The visit reflects Pakistan’s continuous commitment to a stable and cooperative relationship with Afghanistan,” said the ministry.

“During the visit of a day, he will call the Acting Prime Minister Afghan; will meet the Vice-Prime Minister of Acting Economic Affairs Afghan; and will hold discussions at the delegation with the Minister of Foreign Affairs,” said the spokesman for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Shafqat Ali Khan, to journalists.

According to Khan, meetings will cover the entire scope of Pakistani-Afghanistan relations, emphasizing the strengthening of cooperation in terms of security, commerce, regional connectivity and contacts of people.

He described the visit as a reaffirmation of Pakistan’s commitment to a sustained commitment to Afghanistan.

In response to a question, Khan said all key questions – including concerns about terrorist shelters – will be discussed. He confirmed that Pakistan had systematically raised the issue of sanctuaries and would continue to seek a constructive resolution.

The visit comes in the middle of a week of increasing bilateral activity. A Pakistani delegation led by Ambassador Muhammad Sadiq Khan went to Kabul, while an Afghan delegation led by his Minister of Commerce held meetings in Islamabad.

During the recent session of the Pakistani Coordination Committee (JCC) of Pakistan-Afghanistan, Pakistani officials noted a possible change in the approach of Afghan Taliban to Pakistan prohibitions of Tehrik-I-Taliban (TTP).
