Certain parts of Punjab have experienced various weather conditions while rain, dust storms and the covered sky have swept the province, meteorologists warning against an imminent temperature increase.
The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) said that if certain Northern districts, including the Gujranwala and Rawalpindi divisions, can receive light to moderate precipitation, most of the southern Punjab and Lahore division are likely to meet dusty winds without significant precipitation, said Express News.
The meteorological scheme follows a weakened rain system which, according to the PMD, should leave the country by the end of the day.
As a result, temperatures through the province should climb regularly in the coming days.
“The areas that receive precipitation can attend a brief respite from heat,” said a PMD official, “but the broader trend indicates a progressive heat intensification.”
In Lahore, minimum temperatures were recorded at 24 ° C early on Friday, with daytime peaks that should receive 40 ° C.
Winds loaded with dust should contribute to discomfort, especially in urban centers.
While sporadic rains can provide temporary relief, the forecasters warned the residents to prepare for warmer conditions to come.
