Lahore police have launched an investigation into the alleged abduction of a 29 -year -old woman and her four children, who disappeared by going to her mother, said officials.

The incident occurred in the city’s Gujjarpura region, where a case was recorded at the local police station on the woman’s husband’s husband, Hafiz Mahmood, reported Express News.

According to the first information report (FIR), Amber and his children – Abdullah, eight -year -old, Zainab, six, Ahmed, five, and Umme Hani, two years old – were removed on the way to his mother’s home.

The family was seen for the last time to appear together and did not reach their destination.

Police said they used video surveillance images to retrace the movements of the victims and hope for a breakthrough.

“A joint team including Sho Gujjarpura Mohammad Zaka and officers of the investigation unit are actively working on the case,” said a police spokesman.

“We are convinced that they will soon be recovered.”

No suspect has yet been appointed, and the reason behind the removal remains uncertain.

The authorities said that all angles were examined and that updates will be shared as the investigation is progressing.
