Peshawar: the president of the assembly of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP), Babar Saleem Swati, was authorized for any corruption and abuse of allegations of power in an internal investigation of the Party, according to a report obtained by PK Press Club News.

The Qazi Anwar investigation report, a member of the Internal Responsibility Committee of Tehreek-E-insaf (PTI) of Pakistan, found no evidence in support of the accusations taken against the president.

The seven -page report, now subject to the secretary general of the PTI, Salman Akram Raja, declares that the allegations made by the head of the PTI Azam Swati, ranging from financial irregularities to illegal appointments, could not be supported.

The survey revealed that President Swati had no involvement in the payment of 30 million rupees for the renovation of the speaker’s house. His participation in a conference held in Australia was deemed necessary and in accordance with his official responsibilities.

While class IV personnel was recruited without advertisements, the appointments were made in accordance with the rules and in the recommendation of the job exchange office.

All appointments and promotions, including those of the Special Secretary, were deemed legal and based on the recommendations of the Department’s promotion committee (DPC). The report also noted that as a speaker, Babar is responsible before the Assembly, and not for the internal responsibility committee.

The report also mentions that Babar himself had written to the PTI party committee, asking for an investigation to erase his name after the allegations have surfaced publicly.

The committee had asked Azam to submit evidence, and the report now reveals that no verifiable evidence was provided to support complaints.

Anwar revealed that there were differences in opinion within the organization’s organization. While a member of the committee had fully rejected allegations as false, another believes that some of Azam Swati’s complaints are relaxing the merit.

Consequently, the case had been sent to a third member of the committee.

“Whatever the decision of the third member will be acceptable,” said Anwar, adding that the final report would be presented to the founder of the PTI, Imran Khan.

The controversy comes in the midst of reports earlier this month of a potential request without confidence against Babar. Sources said the party had planned to withdraw it if it was found guilty of corruption.

Azam had also cited Imran’s instructions, transmitted at a meeting in Adiala prison, that the speaker should resign if he is found guilty.
