- Apple has deleted “available now” from its Apple Intelligence web page
- The change comes after the BBB national advertising division recommended that it clarify or delete details of availability
- The problem is around the language when the features of Apple’s intelligence have been launched and the wait for the next
Apple has a long time said that there was a long road to come for Apple Intelligence, but that it was more a long -term road since the announcement of Apple AI for the first time at WWDC 2024. Earlier in 2025, Siri’s promised characteristics fed by the AI were pushed back to the coming year, which is quite vague.
Now Apple has made a modification to its Apple Intelligence destination page, abandoning the slogan “available now” under “AI for the rest of us”. Surprisingly, the Cupertino-based technology giant does not seem to have made the decision to delete the message itself, but was requested by the National Advertising Division (NAD) of the Better Business Bureau.
In a shared version, the NAD recommends “that Apple Inc. modifies or interrupt the advertising affirmations concerning the availability of certain features associated with the launch of its Apple intelligence tool fueled by the AI in the United States”, it seems that launch features, including the new SIRI, were still not available, were not clear on the page.
The NAD declares that Apple Intelligence’s destination pages gave the impression that Apple Intelligence’s features, including priority notifications, image playing field, image wand and Chatgpt integration as well as Genmoji, “were available when launching the iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Pro”.
However, Apple Intelligence began its launch before iOS 18.2, which was published after the new iPhones. Nad’s argument stipulates that disclosure, presented as “footnote” or “small printed disclosure”, were not clear enough.
The BBB NAD also had similar reflections on Apple displaying the next Siri features, such as awareness of the screen and personal content, on the same wavelength as the title “available now”.
The NAD even connected to Apple, which informed them that “Siri functionalities would not be available on the original chronology” and that the corresponding language has been updated. It clearly happened at the same time at the same time that Apple drew one of its advertisements featuring the brand new Siri.
Apple, in the press release, says: “Although we do not agree with the results of the NAD linked to the functionalities available for users now, we appreciate the opportunity to work with them and follow their recommendations.” And it is clear that the recommendations have been made to heart, as “available now”, according to instantaneous visualized on the Wayback machine By Techradar, was deleted on March 29, 2025.
It is well before this version of the national advertising dision, which requires that Apple stops or modifies its language, but also after the technology giant confirmed the delay with the AI infused Siri on February 7, 2025.
Anyway, it is clear that Apple obtains its ducks in a row, and it is good to be clearer with consumers. Techradar has contacted Apple to request additional comments, and we will update this when and if we hear.
