Tesla (TSLA) reports $ 951 million in crypto holdings because its income is missing

Tesla (TSLA) still holds nearly a billion dollars in Bitcoin, according to the last profits of the automaker.

The company of electric vehicles said that Digital Asset Holdings worth $ 951 million on March 31, against $ 1.076 billion on December 30. Tesla currently holds 11,509 bitcoin in its balance sheet, according to data from Bitcoin Treasuries.

The change is almost certainly due to the price of depreciating bitcoin between the two quarters. Arkham Intelligence’s data indicate that Tesla has not carried out any transaction in the last three months. Arkham marks Tesla’s assets as a value of $ 1.049 billion.

A new rule of the Financial Accounting Standards Board (FASB) obliges business holders of digital assets to start marking these assets to market each quarter.

Tesla also declared $ 19.34 billion in revenue for the first quarter of the year; Analysts expected the car manufacturer shaved in $ 21.37 billion.

TSLA shares have increased by more than 2% in trade after opening hours.
