- 1Password has revealed new tools for its XAM platform
- Users will benefit from compliance and governance features
- Agentic IA security has also been improved with a new SDK
1PASSWORD, a leader in extended access (XAM) access management and the creator of one of the best password managers, unveiled a band of new IA security and agent agent in its XAM platform.
Among the new updates are improved governance and compliance capacities, and access to a click, alongside new AI original features, including an SDK 1PASSWORD, service accounts and the possibility of storing AI agent secrets in the 1PASSWORD Enterprise password manager.
1PASSWORD also announced a new partnership with Drata to further increase the 1PASSWORD compliance offers.
New XAM capacities
From June 2025, the platform will also offer in-depth compliance of the devices to allow IT teams additional visibility in the devices that employees use to access web and AI applications, whether provided by work or personal devices. An application launcher with one click will also be available in June, offering employees a single access point to all the managed and unmanaged applications they need.
In the fall of 2025, the platform will also offer governance access to SaaS applications, allowing IT teams to fully monitor and automate access and discover the unauthorized shadow. IT administrators will be able to access an XAM console which will offer visibility on the user life cycle, surface information, users, their devices and the applications they access.
“The way people work have fundamentally changed and security must catch up quickly,” David Faugno, Co-PDG at 1Password, told. “The explosion of the SaaS has increased access management and the complexity of governance, and now, agenic AI aggravates this challenge.”
“Organizations need a new approach, not only that secures managed devices and applications, but also unmanaged tools that AI employees and agents really use to do the work. This is exactly what the management of extensive password access and access management security, let’s not only solve today’s problems, “added Faugno added.
Agental IA security from 1 Password
From today, 1Password has made an SDK for agentic AI available to help developers create secure AI workflows thanks to the programmatic management of the safe elements. In addition, IT developers and administrators will be able to create API keys in plans to allow AI agents to access the formal boxes
The 1PASSWORD ENTERPRISE MOTWORD Manager now also offers secure chests for AI agents, where they can recover the information necessary to access the service providers, while providing audit newspapers.
“AI agents will quickly become the most workers in today’s workforce,” Jeff Shiner, Co-PDG at 1Password. “They work constantly at the speed of the machine, at the scaling of workflows in a way that we have never seen – but they do not integrate perfectly into the old safety models. This is why we have created an AI agent security: helping companies move quickly and staying safe, giving developers the tools to innovate with confidence while offering security teams the visibility they need. “
1Password joins Drata
1PASSWORD also announced that it had associated itself with Drata to provide improved compliance thanks to continuous monitoring, the secure access application and real -time information across the edge, AI -focused tools and devices belonging to employees.
“Safety and compliance are inseparable, especially since the SaaS sprawl and the adoption of AI introduce new layers of complexity and risk,” said David Faugno, 1PASSWORD CO-PDG. “Organizations cannot achieve sustainable compliance without ensuring how people, devices, applications and AI agents access their critical commercial data, and you cannot secure access without continuously checking compliance.”
“This partnership with Drata helps unify these efforts, giving companies the possibility of applying solid security policies in all identities, applications and devices – both managed and not managed – while remaining permanently in the audit.
