We have good and bad news for fans of Heart. There is not going to be another season of one of the best Netflix programs, but Nick and Charlie will be released in style in a full feature film.
The news was announced on the Netflix Tudum site, which confirms that Heart Creator Alice Oseman will be on board to write the new Netflix film. It will start to film in summer.

What’s going on in Heartstopper’s film?
The film will resume immediately after Weave Final of season 3, with Nick and Charlie an apparently inseparable couple.
But life tends to hinder, and with Nick preparing to go to university while Charlie finds new independence in school, they have to face the reality of trying to maintain a long distance relationship. According to Netflix, “doubts are settling in and their relationship faces its greatest challenge to date”.
The film will also focus on the friends of Nick and Charlie, who “navigate in the ups and downs of love and friendship. Confront the soft-loving challenges to grow and move on”.
As you hoped, Kit Connor and Joe Locke are back as teenagers – although it was not guaranteed, because their contracts had expired and the show had made them of the two actors on demand. Other distribution announcements for what could probably become one of the best Netflix films will soon be done.
