Islamabad:
The federal government has decided to invite new expressions of interest (EOIS) on April 24 for the privatization of Pakistani international airlines (PIA), providing a window of at least one month to national and international investors.
According to the privatization committee, the pre-qualification criteria have been made more strict to ensure that only serious and credible investors participate in the process.
The plan implies the sale of 10% to 51% of PIA shares, the managers ensuring that the rights of employees and the current service structure will be saved throughout the transition.
