Edwards collected 25 points and six rebounds, but it was not enough to steal another match on the road far from Los Angeles.

The Lakers won, 94-85, to equalize the series to a match each.

Luka Doncic led the Lakers with 31 points, 12 rebounds and nine assists. LeBron James added 21 points, 11 rebounds and seven assists. Austin Reaves contributed to 16 points, five rebounds and five assists.

“We have examined what we did not do so well, which is a lot in match 1,” said James. “We took it to heart, we were responsible and had a much better result.”

Lakers’ head coach, JJ Redick, torn into the team during a dead time. He was heard on the TNT broadcast asking his players: “What they were doing.

“I think this evening was just more than this emergency button goes up,” said Redick later.

Despite the dunk of highlights, Edwards said that the difficult defense of the Lakers had been difficult to him.

“The way they kept us, when I grab the ball, they go a sort of, and when I try to attack a gap, it’s like three people,” said Edwards. “I just have to make my decisions a little faster, and we will go well.”
