In the midst of increasing tensions with India, an eminent political leader Faisal Vawda called for the national unity and the rebirth of the National Action Plan (NAP) as a unified response to what has been described as a “false propaganda” from New Delhi.

Speaking in response to recent developments on the other side of the border, Vawda stressed that national solidarity must be above all, declaring: “Pakistan comes first – everything else follows. We are united. “

He urged the government to convene an official audience on the national action plan, involving the management of all political parties, including Pakistan Tehreek-E-insaf (PTI), in order to send a strong and unified message to the international community.

“This will demonstrate that Pakistan no longer works on political experiences and that the whole nation and its communities are held firmly behind the armed forces and in defiance of any external threat,” said the official.

Warning against any hostile action based on disinformation, the declaration warned India that any movement rooted in “Lies and deceptions” would be welcomed by a strong and potentially dangerous response, as has been the case in the past.

His statement comes as India suspended the Industry Water Treaty with Pakistan in the aftermath of a deadly attack in Pahalgam, in India illegally occupied Jammu-et-Cachemire (IIOJK), who killed 26 tourists and injured 17 others.

The attack, which, according to the police, had injured 17 other people, took place in Pahalgam – a tourist hotspot which attracts thousands of visitors each summer.

At least 26 people were killed, all men, when armed men opened fire on visitors in a popular destination, AFP reported, citing a hospital list of the dead verified by the police. It was the deadliest attack in the region against civilians since 2000.
