Andor Season 2 will take very daring oscillations with the incredibly strange romantic relationship that develops between Syril Karn and Dedra Meero.
It is according to Kyle Soller and Denise Gough, who told Techradar that they still had trouble “training” what is happening between their characters a year after the shooting of the last season of Star Wars Show.

“Relations are a question of power in one way or another,” said Soller. “It is a great awareness of how this imbalance to be able to be able to grow and take things in all kinds of directions. I always thought that Syril wanted Dedra, but I also think that he wants to use it, so it is difficult to read where his motivations are really.”

“At the heart, Dedra is a monster,” added Gough. “She does horrible things depending on where she comes.
“Does she really care about Syril? I look at him as a spectator and I still don’t know,” said Gough. “For me, she does not have this human programming in her to make me think that she is in love with him. She is like a computer, but I also think that she wants it definitively. It is not a loving relationship where they refuse lights and hugs. It is very transactional and strange. It confuses me and I still cannot work completely.”
