Complete spoilers immediately follow for Andor Season 2 episodes 1 to 3.
Andor Season 2 will take very daring oscillations with the incredibly strange romantic relationship that develops between Syril Karn and Dedra Meero.
It is according to Kyle Soller and Denise Gough, who told Techradar that they still had trouble “training” what is happening between their characters a year after the shooting of the last season of Star Wars Show.
They are not the only ones. Since Syril who saves the life of Dedra AndorThe final of season 1 – A moment which was imbued with a strange romantic tension – fans want to learn if the pair really met. Now that the first three episodes of season 2 have not only released, but also confirms that they are involved in a form of romantic tangle, viewers are also fascinated by the dynamics which takes place so far.
Indeed, the wires on many Reddit pages based on Star Wars are filled with fans commenting on the curious atmosphere which occurs each time the imperial officers are in the same room. Other social media platforms are also flooded with people who try to dissect the clearly uncomfortable nature of their dynamics.
Examination of romance fans between two members of Andor The distribution of season 2 will be sure to continue for weeks and months to come. Well, as long as some of them are also fascinated by the relationship that Soller and Gouth continue to be – the duo tell me that they still do not know what is happening between their characters in one of the best Disney + second and last season shows.
“I think it was really daring to [showrunner] Tony [Gilroy] To finish season one with both in this strange little closet [where they hide from the Ferrix rebellion]”Mydait Soller.” Now, entering the domestic intimacy of all this, and what it might look like for these two very strange animals, I think it’s another master stroke. “”
My biggest fear was “Oh, great, they fall in love and what?”
Denise Gough, actor of season 2 of Andor
“But he [Tony] Don’t change them, “Gough intervenes.” Upon entering this season, my biggest fear was “Oh, great, they fall in love and then what? What does domestication look like for them? ». But, once I got the scripts for season two, I said to myself “okay, it always looks weird and it’s even more surreal than before.” “”
There was a lot to appreciate to the public concerning the relationship of the pair in one of the new Star Wars television programs in 2025 throughout its first three chapters.
Whether it is the extremely uncomfortable nature of Dedra meeting the dominant mother of Syril in episode 3, or the general conversations in which they are committed, it seems that fans are struck by this wicked duo taking advantage of the frivolity in the middle of the bad nature of their daily jobs as an employee of the Galactic Empire.
So, will the good times last? As you would expect, Gough and Soller would not be exploited on how this dynamic will evolve over the next nine episodes. That said, they abandon some teases that viewers are sure to start when you wait for new episodes to be broadcast on one of the best streaming services each Tuesday (United States) and Wednesday (United Kingdom and Australia).
“Relations are a question of power in one way or another,” said Soller. “It is a great awareness of how this imbalance to be able to be able to grow and take things in all kinds of directions. I always thought that Syril wanted Dedra, but I also think that he wants to use it, so it is difficult to read where his motivations are really.”
The last thing I expected from #ANDOR S2 was a family life sitcom from Syril and Dedra but I really loved every second.April 23, 2025
“At the heart, Dedra is a monster,” added Gough. “She does horrible things depending on where she comes.
“Does she really care about Syril? I look at him as a spectator and I still don’t know,” said Gough. “For me, she does not have this human programming in her to make me think that she is in love with him. She is like a computer, but I also think that she wants it definitively. It is not a loving relationship where they refuse lights and hugs. It is very transactional and strange. It confuses me and I still cannot work completely.”
