Islamabad:
Senator Sherry Rehman inaugurated an art exhibition on the culture and identity of the Kalash community in Pakistan National Council of the Arts (PNCA).
The exhibition entitled “Rekingingling: The Kalash Narrative”, stressed the importance of preserving and celebrating the diverse cultural heritage of Pakistan. He presented the work of six artists accomplished in art: Ahmed Habib, Akram Dost Baloch, Ejaz Khan, Ma Bhatti, Riffat Khatak and Samreen Asif.
“This exhibition is a great celebration of the unique and dynamic culture of the Kalash community,” said Rehman. “Their traditions and their heritage are not only distinct but also deeply inspiring.”
“It is essential that we continue to promote and cherish the various cultural identities that make up the fabric of our nation,” she added. “The artists have skillfully highlighted significant themes by modern expression, and the whole team deserves sincere congratulations for this commendable effort.”
She participated in the organizers and participants for organizing a powerful and convincing showcase, adding that such initiatives play a vital role in promoting cultural understanding and unity.
