The recent heat fate in Karachi has softened with the partial return of the Marine breeze, the meteorological department of Pakistan (PMD) said on Thursday.
The department expects the breeze to take up fully in the evening, which gradually reduces temperatures across the city. Thursday, Karachi’s maximum temperature should hover about 38 ° C.
The humidity levels were 74% Thursday morning, while the winds were recorded at 10 km / h from the southwest.
Despite improved conditions, air quality in the city remains classified as unhealthy. The air quality index measured the concentration of pollutants at 115, indicating a poor persistent environment.
Elsewhere in Pakistan, hot and dry weather is likely to prevail in most regions in the next twelve hours.
Light rains and thunderstorms are possible in isolated areas of upper Khyber-Pakhtunkh, Gilgit Baltistan and Kashmir.
The morning temperatures in the key cities included 15 ° C in Islamabad, 24 ° C in Lahore, 26 ° C in Karachi, 19 ° C in Peshawar, 13 ° C in Quetta, 14 ° C in Gilgit, 11 ° C in Murree and 18 ° C in Muzaffarabad.
