Zksync said that $ 5 million in stolen chips during an administrative wallet hacking last week were returned and the case is now considered resolved.
The Blockchain Protocol of Couche-2 saw a pirate compromising his administration portfolio, leading to the flight of un demanded tokens from the Zksync air platform.
In an article on X, the project said that the hacker cooperated with the team and made the funds in the “refuge” period – a period of grace commonly offered in security incidents to encourage yields without legal consequences. Cooperation means that the pirate has taken a bonus of 10%.
The tokens are now detained by the ZKSYN Security Council and a governance process will determine what to do with it. A final survey report is being prepared and will be published once finished.
