Jim Kelly grew up by going to the church mainly because his parents did – but these Sunday visits turned out to be precursors of the way he lives his life today.
The quarter of the fame is a devout Christian, but it took him a long time to reach this point.
In fact, even though he was starting to count on his faith, God “tested it”, he said on a recent podcast.

Kelly, of course, has lost four Super Bowls in his career, but that turns out to her four battles against cancer and lost his son, Hunter, at the age of 8 in 2005.
“I even got to a point, it would drive me crazy, I said to my wife:” If being a Christian is to be like you, I don’t want to be one. “I was angry with God.
While his son was sick of a fatal leukodystrophy with globoid cells, Kelly worked as a football analyst and “far from her home”.
“To be honest with you, it was a difficult part of my life, not only for me, but for me and my wife. It was a fight. We do not hear ourselves … My wife and I lost interest for each other,” said Kelly, who admitted that he was unfaithful.

“Unfortunately, it happened to a point where my mother-in-law confronted me and said to me:” If you do not change your life, you will lose everything. “And she was right. So, I changed my life … I completely admitted everything.”
Kelly said that God “launched each curve” to me, but for a good reason.
“I know why he put me through all of this – to test my faith and if I will ever abandon it. And there is no way. He is the reason why I am still there, but my wife, my daughters and the life I live now, I thank God every day for that.”
Kelly has said that he “did not want to hear about religion, adding that it was” forced me “by his colleagues players of the NFL. Thus, he gave advice to those who may help others find their faith.

“If you want to change the life of someone, do not throw it on it. They will come on their time. If you continue to throw it and force them, you will scare them. This is what happened to me early, but the more I thought, the more I wanted.
Kelly has been without cancer since 2019.
