Recent Marvel films have more to do with multi -life themes, but the next Thunderbolt*, that its director Jake Schreier Taquine, is more anchored.
During an interview Gamesradar+, he said: “When [screenwriter] Eric Pearson came with Brian Chapek, I think one of the original versions was a bit like a difficult thing. “”
“Or everything was going to take place in this safe, and get out of it, which would have been a very cool thing. So I think that in the DNA of the film, it was always a little more contained,” he added.
Elsewhere in the interview, the filmmaker said that the film had undergone several rewritings. A new idea appeared and a character named Bob, played by Lewis Pullman, was presented.
“When I entered for the first time, working with Eric, [it was] find this idea of having bob in the team with [the Thunderbolts]Said the 43 -year -old man.
“In the project before that, they were on parallel tracks, but I felt like they really had to know it if we want to make this end work.”
Then Jake said that when new writers went on board, they added a more emotional touch to history, in particular by emphasizing Yelena’s emotional journey (Florence Pugh).
He continued: “Later, when [Netflix’s Beef creator] Lee Sung Jin entered, it was then that he really became a young woman who crosses a really dark phase. “”
“Many smaller scenes and scenes of internal characters that express this, and a lot of this kind of metaphysical ideas [came into play]And that’s where it started to feel, okay, it really becomes something different. “”
“When Joanna [Calo, The Bear co-showrunner] came and worked on it, and did such a good job, I think that many of these team dynamics and the way they play in the safe, she brought such a great perspective to that, “concluded Jake.
Thunderbolt* will be released on May 2.
