WhatsApp is defined to modify its voice recording function in an upcoming update, which makes it much more fluid and faster to use by allowing users to save voice messages with a single tap.

Some beta testers, who downloaded the latest WhatsApp Beta update for iOS 25.13.10.70 available on the Testflight application, can now experiment with a new way to save voice messages that considerably simplify the process, Wabetainfo reported.

Currently, there are two ways to send a voice message on the popular instant meta messaging application.

The first method is to press and keep the microphone button in a cat. As soon as the button is published, the voice message is automatically sent if it has been saved for at least one second.

The second method is designed for longer records in which users can press the microphone button, then slide their finger upwards to activate a locked mode. This feature allows users to continue talking without needing to keep the button all the time.

However, with the last update, WhatsApp unified these two methods in a single experience, allowing users to start a voice recording with a single blow.

More specifically, the locking is automatically activated as soon as the user draws the microphone button, eliminating the need to keep the button stuck during recording. Users no longer need to slide up to trigger the lock either.

The new update activates the locking instantly as soon as the microphone button is used, eliminating the need for additional gestures and ensuring that the whole recording process of voice messages feels much more fluid for users.

This small but significant setting will probably reduce friction in sending voice messages, making the action more fluid and more natural for everyone.

This change could also save time and simplify daily communication.

It should be noted that this new behavior may seem a bit unknown to users accustomed to keeping the button or slipping. However, after using it several times, most people will probably find it intuitive and efficient.

The new feature is available for certain beta testers that install the latest versions of WhatsApp Beta for iOS of the Testflight application, and it takes place to more people in the coming weeks.
