India has blocked more than a dozen Pakistani YouTube channels, following their cover of the Pahalgam incident.
The channels reported on Pahalgam’s attack and had exposed differences in the Modi government’s account concerning events, which prompted the Indian authorities to accuse the Pakistani channels of the propagation of “deceptive and provocative content”.
Other affected channels include platforms of independent journalists and thematic canals.
The Indian authorities allegedly alleged that these channels disseminated misleading information against the Indian government and the military, although no specific example has been published publicly.
Collectively, prohibited channels had a subscriber base exceeding around 66 million.

Pahalgam attack and diplomatic consequences
Tuesday, 26 men were killed on a tourist site in the region of Pahalgam, Indian, illegally occupied Jammu-et-Cachemire (Iiojk), shot in a meadow. India claimed to have presented all evidence that there were Pakistani elements linked to the attack, an affirmation that Islamabad denies.
On Wednesday, the Indian Cabinet Security Committee approved a series of actions, including the closure of the Wagah-Attari land transport point, advising Indian nationals to go to Pakistan and officially notify Islamabad of the suspension of the Industry Water Treaty.
In response, the National National Security Committee of Pakistan (NSC) warned on Thursday that any attempt by India to block water flow in Pakistan would be treated as an act of war. The press release follows a high -level NSC meeting, which also approved the closure of the Wagah border passage.
On Friday, the Senate of Pakistan unanimously adopted a resolution rejecting the allegations of India connecting Pakistan to the attack of Pahalgam, calling them baseless and politically motivated.
