- KM5 Lightwear HP1 costs $ 189 / £ 159 (around $ 331 in)
- The appearance of the 1980s, but with Bluetooth 5.4 and active noise cancellation
- The battery life 24 hours a day, but two different rooms to load
Whenever I feel nostalgic about Walkman orange foam headphones that I used in the 1980s, I must remember that they seemed absolutely horrible. But what happens if they returned and sounded well, and also had an active cancellation of noise? This is what the new Lightwear HP1 km5 headphones are to deliver.
The headphones operate both wirelessly and in wired mode, and arrive at only 103 g without cables. Unfortunately, they do not come to this orange from the 80s, but there are white and black models with swapbled colored cushions.
Km5 Lightwear HP1 listener: Key characteristics and price
The thin banner is made of stainless steel and behind the cushions, there are 40 mm drivers with a frequency response from 20 Hz to 25 kHz.
Bluetooth is 5.4 with Bluetooth audio, and the battery life is promised 24 hours on a three -hour load. The ANC has a mode of transparency as well as normal cancellation.
However, there are two big drawbacks here. The ears are not connected to each other, which means that you need to load with two cables. And for wired listening, a USB-C cable will have more weight than the lean audio cables of the old-fashioned cans. I guess that in wired mode, the wireless audio ear to the other, although KM5 did not specify this clearly.
They are definitely an interesting new addition to the world of the best noise cancellation headphones – a style very different from everything from Sony or Bose. This has been going double since the best earphones have been doubled since ENA have, so these provide something really rare.
HP1 headphones are now available on KM5.CO.JP for £ 159 / $ 189 (about $ 331 in), which makes a fair price fairly – we now need to see if they are good, assuming that they become (hope) widely available.
