A report detailing the conditions of the prison of the wife of former Prime Minister Imran Khan, Bushra Bibi, was submitted to the High Court of Islamabad.
The report indicated that Bushra Bibi receives regular health surveillance and has access to a dedicated kitchen space in the prison, Express News reported.
Judge Raja Inam Amin Minhas of the High Court of Islamabad heard Tuesday that the request requesting an improvement in prison facilities for Bushra Bibi. His lawyers, Usman Gul and Zaheer Abbas Advocate, appeared before the court.
The Advocate General’s office submitted a report of the prison superintendent.
The court asked that the report be shared with the Bushra Bibi legal team.
According to the report, Bushra Bibi is owned in a separate and spacious room.
She receives medical examinations twice a day. A mattress, a chair, a table, a shelf and adequate lighting and fan installations were provided in the room.
The report also indicates that a bedroom cooler has been installed for the summer and an LCD TV is available.
A separate kitchen was organized to allow him to cook his meals, which are examined by the penitentiary before being served.
The court ordered the Bushra Bibi council to examine the report and present their response to the next hearing.
The court said that the case would occur in accordance with the list calendar.
Earlier, an anti-terrorism court (ATC) extended the provisional surety of Bushra Bibi on Monday in two cases linked to the protest from November 26 to June 11.
Judge Abual Hasnat Muhammad Zulqarnain de l’ATC heard petitions of bailing to Bushra Bibi. His lawyer submitted requests requesting an exemption from personal appearance.
