Truth Social, the social media platform held by Trump Media & Technology Group (DJT), which belongs to the majority by US President Donald Trump, plans to launch a cryptocurrency.
“As part of our reward program, we explore the introduction of a utility token with a TRUTH digital portfolio which can initially be used to pay the truth + subscription fees, then be applied to other products and services in the ecosphere of truth,” the company told a letter to its shareholders on Tuesday.
DJT barely reacted to the news; The action is down 0.52% in exchanges after opening hours.
The company also plans to launch negotiated funds on the stock market (ETF) which will combine shares with cryptocurrencies, reiterated the letter.
The entourage of Trump has published a panoply of cryptographic products over the years, especially same, the NFT collections and a DEFI protocol.
