- Shokz opdendotes one weight at only 0.23 oz per headphones
- Interchangeable left / right headphones and 10 -hour battery life
- $ 199 (around £ 149 / $ 309 in), now available
Shokz has launched its smaller wireless buds open to date, that of opendots. Weighing only 0.23 ounces (just over 6 g) per bud, they are extremely light, and their clip-on design should ensure that they remain in place even when you are active, although they are smaller and not having the enveloping design of the Shokz which exceeds our list of the best open headphones.
The clip-on section is made from a nickel-titane arch which, according to Shokz, feels soft but remains safe on all ear sizes. It is locked in soft silicone for comfort and headphones are interchangeable: simply stick them in the ear you like and they will determine which bud is in which ear and adjust the stereo accordingly.
Shokz Opendots One: Price and key features
The buds are powered by personalized drivers of 11.8 mm with Lower Shokz design for a solid low -end. There are four EQ modes and what Shokz calls DirectPitch Audio, which is designed to minimize the sound leak despite the fact that the buds are not directly in your ear duct.
There are two microphones for calls and IA noise reduction for more clarity when you talk to someone – although there is no active noise cancellation here.
The battery life is up to 10 hours in a single load and a total of 40 hours from the light load box. The buds are resistant to water and IP54 sweat, and they have a multipoint so that you can connect to two devices simultaneously for easy switching.
Until now, the launch is only American, with availability from today (April 29). The recommended retail price is $ 199 (around £ 149 / $ 309 at, although there is no confirmation of a launch in other countries).
