The NFL 2025 draft brought its fair share of surprises. But the free fall of the Sheduer Sanders in the draft boards was perhaps the most surprising development.
The Cleveland Browns finally selected Sanders in the fifth round on Saturday. Shortly after the selection, Sanders went to social networks to share a short but emotional message: “Thank you God.” Since then, many figures in the world of sport and beyond have tried to describe the drop in Sanders.
On Tuesday, a report by The Athletic, quoting an unmanned NFL team leader, underlined the decisions that Sanders took which could have contributed to the disappointment of certain teams with the former quarter of Colorado leading to the NFL draft.

“I believe that SheDer has approached these visits with teams as a recruitment trip to a job interview,” said team director at the point of sale.
The same source suggested to athletics that the refusal to hire an agent to represent him officially acted as a detriment. A certified and experienced agent could have given Sanders a beneficial overview of the process project, the report suggested.
It was largely believed that the father of Sheduer, the temple of renown of professional football, Deion Sanders, was indeed the informal counselor of the quarter during the project process.

Sanders also faced a meticulous examination of a different source just before kick -off last Thursday.

When he was asked to describe his experience as an interview pre-Rôti with Sheder, an anonymous NFL assistant coach noted that it was “the worst formal interview” of which he had been a part.

“He is so right. He takes unnecessary bags. He never plays in time. He has horrible body language. He blames the teammates. … But the biggest is that it is not so good,” said the assistant coach without pilot via the NFL media.
Sanders finished the 2024 season with 4,134 yards with the pass. He will join a crowded quarter-back room in Cleveland which includes Deshaun Watson, Joe Flacco, Kenny Pickett and Dillon Gabriel.
