Nationalist term channels project temporary shelves

Karachi:

The government’s decision to temporarily postponed the controversial plan to draw new channels from the Indus river is hailed as an important victory for the Sindh people.

The leaders and activists attributed this success to the united efforts of political figures, lawyers, students, farmers, women, journalists and citizens from all sectors of society.

The Sindh Bachao Tehreek also announced an advisory meeting, organized by Pakistan Tehreek-E-insaf (PTI) on April 30, where the next phase of action will be discussed.

The leaders congratulated the people of Sindh for their success and reaffirmed their commitment to continue the joint struggle.
