Vice-Prime Minister Ishaq Dar and the LT of the CEO ISPR, Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry, are aimed at a joint press conference in the middle of increasing tensions between Pakistan and India after the attack on Pahalgam of April 22 in Jammu and the Kashmir of Indian origin, which left at least 26 people.

India has accused Pakistan of involvement without presenting any evidence. New Delhi responded with punitive actions, in particular the suspension of the Industry Water Treaty, the revocations of the visas and the closure of the Wagah-Attari crossing. In turn, Islamabad expelled Indian diplomats, canceled visas for Indian nationals (with the exception of Sikhs pilgrims) and closed its side of the main border.

The Minister of Information, Attaullah Tarar, warned that Pakistan credible intelligence of potential Indian military action within 24 to 36 hours, qualifying the claims of India “baseless and concocted”.

The CEO ISPR, addressing the media earlier, shared what he called “irrefutable” proof of terrorism sponsored by the Indian state in Pakistan, affirming that India provides weapons, EEIs and explosives to activists targeting both civilians and security forces.

Despite the growing confrontation, Pakistan reiterated its denial of participation in the attack on cashmere and proposed to cooperate in a credible investigation. Defense Minister Khawaja Asif also warned that the situation could turn into a large -scale war if it is not defused.

The UN urged the two nations to exercise a “maximum reservoir” to avoid new deterioration.
