The Duchess Sophie Visit Royal Hospital

According to a press release,

The Duchess Sophie joined a group of 80 retirees for three laps from their weekly bingo evening.

“Tuesday evening, the bingo at the Chelsea Font Club promotes camaraderie and is a darling weekly activity which helps to mitigate loneliness, promotes mental well-being and strengthens the meaning of the community within the historical institution,” said the press release.

This added: “His Royal Highness spoke to Ted Fell, 86, of the Royal Artillery, who presented it to his colleagues from Bingo before the start of the games.”

“The club, which has an authorized bar, a games room and a quiet reading room, serves as a social center of the Royal Hospital, which houses nearly 300 Chelsea retirees which have already served in the British army.”
