Alijah Arenas, the recruit five stars and sons of the former NBA star, Gilbert Arenas, rested “comfortably” at home after a car accident left it in a medically induced coma.
“The Govan and Arenas family is preparing for the coming road with faith and determination, committed to feeding Alijah 100%. He remains blessed, resilient and in good humor,” the family said in a statement on Wednesday.
“While his journey to complete recovery begins barely, his mind remains strong and he is surrounded by love and support.”

Arenas, a USC commitment, was traveling in its Tesla Cybertruck shortly before 5 a.m. on Thursday in Los Angeles when the accident occurred, according to information.
The Arenas family shared a declaration by one of the people who helped him get out of the car after the wreckage.
“I remember hearing that I hit the car window, but I couldn’t see anything because the smoke was so thick,” said the person, via TMZ SPORTS.
“It was then that I realized that someone was inside. I tried to break the window, but it would not give. Then, I saw that one of the windows was cracked just enough, and we used everything we had to fold and remove it. The car was on fire. We just knew that we had to take it out.”
