Three members of the staff of the Terrorism Department (CTD) were martyred and five more injured in two distinct terrorist incidents in the province of Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa (KP) late Wednesday evening, the officials confirmed.
In the Domel de Bannu region, armed men attacked the staff of the Terrorism Department (CTD) on the road to the Company, Martyring three and injuring two officers, Express News reported.
Three civilians were also injured during the cross -fires, police said.
The injured and died were moved to a neighboring hospital, while police and additional armored vehicles were deployed in the region in response.
Regional police officer Sajjad Khan and the district police officer Abbas Kalachi visited the injured police and expressed their solidarity with the families of the deceased.
In a separate incident in Swabi, unidentified attackers opened fire on the police check point within the limits of the Swabi police station. No victim has been reported.
The police officer of the Swabi district Muhammad Azhar Khan said that the attackers had fled under the cover of the darkness to the neighboring wooded areas after the police had been burned.
A research and strike operation is underway in the region and security has been tightened, he added.
