Islamabad:
Pakistan ambassador to the Netherlands, Syed Haider Shah, made an oral statement before the International Court of Justice (ICJ), in The Hague Thursday, highlighting the atrocities committed by Israel in the Palestinian territory occupied in particular in Gaza.
He made the declaration during the public hearing on the request of an advisory opinion on the obligations of Israel in relation to the presence and activities of the United Nations, other international organizations and third states in and in relation to the occupied Palestinian territory.
He stressed that the conduct of Israel towards the United Nations Agency for Reliefs and Works for Palestine (UNRWA) reflected one of the most blatant violations of the privileges and immunities of an international organization in the history of the United Nations.
He condemned in the strongest possible terms of Israel to dismantle UNRWA’s operations in the occupied Palestinian territory, qualifying him as a blatant violation of international law and part of the systematic campaign of Israel to refuse humanitarian aid essential to millions of Palestinians with an urgent need.
