The Los Angeles Lakers were examined last June when the franchise decided to hire an inexperienced JJ as the next trainer of the franchise.

While Redick guided the Lakers to the victory in a match against the Timberwolves during his debut as a coach in October, Los Angeles failed against Minnesota in the playoffs.

The Timberwolves held a 103-96 victory in Match 5 to eliminate the Lakers from the claims of the playoffs.

Several criticisms have questioned Redick’s decision -making during the eliminatory series, in particular its management of the team rotation. But Brian Windhorst of ESPN suggested that the first-year Lakers head coach had problems with his emotions before the dropout of match 5.

Windhorst added that his comments were not supposed to be a personal criticism of Redick.

“I don’t want to say that in a personal way. JJ Redick has trained very immature in this series,” added Windhorst. “Retrospectively, JJ will realize that he has not put the Lakers in the best position to win.”
