A woman was killed on Friday after an excessive oil tanker struck a motorcycle near Korangi Crossing in Karachi, police and rescue officials confirmed.

According to the first reports, the oil tanker crushed the victim while driving the motorcycle. The driver fled immediately after the incident. In response, rabid citizens set fire to the oil tanker before the police arrived.

Rescue officials 1122 confirmed that the fire was later extinguished and that no additional victim had been reported on the scene.

In addition, a passenger bus overturned near the sanctuary of Samundari Baba in Gulshan-E-Hadeed, killing three people and at least eight other injured.

The rescue teams transported the injured to a neighboring hospital, with operations in progress at the time of the declaration.

In another incident on the quidabad bridge, a motorcyclist suffered critical injuries after being struck by a truck. The authorities said the driver had fled the premises, abandoning the vehicle.

The accident series has intensified public concerns about traffic management and heavy vehicle regulations in the city.
