The Standing Committee of the National Assembly on the Cabinet Secretariat asked for a full expenditure report from the President of Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Mohin Naqvi concerning the renovation and reconstruction of cricket stadiums across Pakistan.
According to NewsThe Committee also asked the PCB to provide an official briefing on the 10th edition in progress of the HBL Pakistan Super League (PSL). Naqvi should present an overview of the PCB performance in the past six months.
PCB has improved the stages of Lahore, Karachi and Rawalpindi to improve spectators’ facilities and align with international standards for CT 2025.
In related development, the PCB should start the second phase of renovations at the Karachi National Bank stadium immediately after the conclusion of season 10 of the PSL.
The redesign includes the reprofing of spectator stands and a major redevelopment to bring the stadium to global references.
The renovation plan, caused in part by a low attendance during PSL 2025 matches, will focus on improving the comfort of the seats, the aesthetics of the place, the movement of the crowds, the parking lots and the accessibility.
